SUSTAINABILITY: World Environment Day is Thursday 5 June and this year’s theme is ‘ending plastic pollution’. Plastic pollution permeates every corner of the planet—even in our bodies in the form of microplastics. World Environment Day 2025 calls for collective action to tackle plastic pollution.
As a responsible organisation, NPA is continuously taking action to reduce waste—and thanks to the efforts of some excellent management practices, NPA has made enormous progress in diverting our waste from landfill.

We have seen significant improvements in terms of:
· Timber recycling
o Our new supplier, ResourceCo, can accept a greater range of timber materials which our old recycler wasn’t able to process.
· Soft Plastic recycling
o Since the initiative was implemented, we have diverted 1.798 Tonnes of Soft Plastic.
· Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) recycling
o Since the initiative started, we have diverted 13 IBCs from landfill.
